A4 or A3? A Guide to Choosing Your Print Size
Compare A4 and A3 wall art sizes, frame openings and portrait or landscape layouts before choosing your Giggle Bright nursery print.

A3 has twice the area of A4. An A4 print is a compact choice for a reading nook or a group of smaller frames. A3 gives a single design more presence on a larger wall.
Check the frame opening
The size printed on a frame’s packaging can describe either the full frame or the artwork it holds. Check the image opening, especially if you want a mount. The print’s paper size should match the opening your frame is intended to hold.
Try the arrangement first
Cut paper to the size you are considering and place it where the artwork will go. Include the frame’s outer dimensions when deciding spacing. This makes it easier to compare a single A3 print with a group of A4 prints.
Choose an available orientation
Landscape is wider than it is tall; portrait is taller than it is wide. Some prehistoric designs offer both and others offer landscape only. Check the individual product page and Etsy listing rather than assuming every design can be rotated.
