How to Build a Dinosaur Gallery Wall
Choose one, two or three dinosaur prints, mix the 12 numbered colours and check portrait or landscape options for a coordinated children’s room.
Start with a favourite
Choose the prehistoric creature your child comes back to: perhaps T-Rex, Stegosaurus or Triceratops. Use that print as the starting point, then decide whether it should stand alone or be part of a pair or trio.
Mix shapes as well as colours
A long-necked Diplodocus brings a different outline from an armoured Ankylosaurus. Pterodactyl adds wings, while Plesiosaurus and Ichthyosaurus introduce marine reptiles. A varied group can still feel coordinated because the prints share the same layout and colour palette.
Two ways to use the palette
For a quiet arrangement, choose one numbered colour for every print. For variety, repeat a colour already in the room and add one or two complementary shades. Soft Olive Green, Slate Blue and Apricot Sand are one possible starting point; Pale Blush and Antique Heather make another.
Check orientations before planning frames
Stegosaurus, Plesiosaurus, Pterodactyl, T-Rex, Triceratops and Velociraptor have portrait and landscape options. Diplodocus, Parasaurolophus, Spinosaurus, Dimetrodon, Ankylosaurus and Ichthyosaurus are offered in landscape. The Etsy listing remains the final guide to the options available when you order.
Order the set clearly
On Etsy, select the paper size and number of prints. Follow the personalisation instructions and list each design with its colour number. For example: T-Rex — Slate Blue #2; Stegosaurus — Pale Blush #7; Triceratops — Soft Moss Green #6. Include your orientation choice where both are offered.
Frames are not included. Screen colours are a guide and can vary from the finished print.
